PBC was established in 2004 with the objectives of promoting the development of commerce and investments between UAE and Pakistan. At present PBC has over 350 members from various industrial sectors of the UAE. Vikram Venkataraman (Managing Director – Vianta Advisors) was invited by the Pakistan Business Council (PCB) in December 2012 at Emirates Towers, Dubai, to speak at their SME Finance Seminar. Vikram Venkatarman made a presentation titled “What do banks look for in SMEs?”, and gave PBC members insights into banks’ perspective on lending to SMEs. The talk generated considerable interest resulting in an interactive question and answer session.
